Happy new year, and welcome back to school! Here are some things that may help you start off the new semester. 


Your Dashboard

The dashboard class cards have changed to try to keep it relevant and useful during these transition periods between grading terms. 

  • If you teach at multiple schools, you will see your class cards are now grouped by schools.
  • You will see both your Fall and Spring classes displayed here.
  • Fall classes will be visible until Jan 8. After the Fall grades deadline has passed, the Fall classes will automatically drop off from your dashboard.
  • If you wish to hide your Fall classes from your dashboard sooner, you can click this link and set the "Visible on Dashboard" toggle:

Setting Class Card Image

Before, your class card image shared the same image as the banner of your homepage. This came with drawbacks, and thus has changed to now have its own dedicated image that you can setup in the Setup Class tab:


  • The image size will be 352x110 pixels
  • We will automatically scale it for you if you upload a different size image



Linking Sections

This has not changed, but is done so infrequently that we thought it warranted a reminder about how to setup:


1. Go into the "master" section. Typically this would just be the lowest period, but in general does not matter which you choose to be the master section.

2. In the Setup Class tab, at the very bottom is the Link Sections button. 

3. Select which other sections will be "child" sections of this class.


Copying content from previous classes


You can load your past classes at any time and choose to Copy any of those course materials to a current class.
