There are numerous reasons why you may see grades in eKadence, but some missing in Aeries.


Entire assignment(s) missing

Did you make changes to grading categories after sync was enabled? If you have added/deleted categories in either system, please disable gradebook sync and enable it again. This will take you through the steps to map again.


Random scores missing for some students but not others

While grades are supposed to come over automatically as you enter them, there are periods when Aeries is not accessible and those scores are don't make it over at that time. eKadence will continue retry in 30 minute intervals to send your score again at a later time. We recommend waiting a few hours as most cases resolve on their own. 


To force pushing the entire eKadence gradebook over, you can safely push the "Force sync gradebook" button in your Class Setup tab.


Warning: there is a chance that any grades you entered directly in Aeries will be overwritten if they are blank in eKadence.  If you are not grading strictly in eKadence only, it is advised to backup your Aeries gradebook before hitting this button.


The sync may work well for some, but has issues for others. We are actively working to:

  • Improve the resiliency and self-healing with unexpected errors
  • Create a new interface where you can see the status of your sync, and any items that may not be matching between the 2 gradebooks
  • Once the eKadence to Aeries direction is stable, we will enable bi-directional sync to bring back scores entered directly in Aeries.
