If you are seeing that each assignment you create in eKadence is getting duplicated in Aeries, first check if you have linked gradebooks in Aeries.

When you link sections in eKadence, we will handle duplicating the assignments to each of your class sections. Unfortunately, this feature does not work if the gradebooks in Aeries are also linked, because Aeries will also duplicate those same assignments.

If you link sections in eKadence, please do not use the Aeries linked gradebook feature.

There are 2 options to clean this up:

Option 1 - To ensure all the data is 100% correct, the best method is to "start fresh" with completely empty Aeries gradebooks:
  1. In Aeries, delete your existing gradebooks.
  2. In Aeries, create a clean gradebook and add desired grading categories. (And please repeat, for each of your class sections.)
       - Do NOT link these new gradebooks in Aeries.
  3. In eKadence, go to Class > Setup Class > Disable gradebook sync. Then, re-enable the gradebook sync again. (To be done, for each of your classes)

Option 2 -
  1. In Aeries, delete all assignments that are duplicated, including the "original". (Do not leave a single assignment that is part of a group of duplicated items.)
  2. In Aeries, unlink your gradebooks.
  3. In eKadence > Class > Setup Class > click "Force sync Gradebook". (To be done for each class.) This will push over your grades again for each class.

In both options, the order of the steps is very important.
